This past weekend, Cameron and I headed down to the coast for the night!
The weather is still really warm here in Oregon, so we figured we might as well take advantage of it! Every time we go to the coast, it reminds us that we don't go nearly enough, especially considering how close it is. (Also, it's still a little surreal to me that I live so close to the ocean!)
This time we went to Manzanita, which is an area of the coast I had never been to before. It's less than two hours from Portland, and we both really enjoyed it! The town itself is fairly small (but cute) but the beach is beautiful. We got there just in time to catch an amazing sunset on the beach on Friday night. I took a bunch of photos (as usual) but they really don't do it justice!
Lola made friends with some little dogs - it was hilarious watching them run around together :)
Cameron and I are trying our best to soak up the time we have left with just the two of us :)
We took some photos for my next bumpdate on the beach, but I couldn't resist sharing one now!
The sunset was really incredible and just kept getting better!
We actually camped while we were in Manzanita, which worked out really well. The campground we stayed at was primarily RVs, but it was really close to the beach so I would recommend it! Saturday, the weather was incredibly gorgeous so we headed back to the beach to soak up the sun!
You can actually ride horses on this part of the beach, which looked really fun!
Lola kept a close eye on them :)
Lola was clearly having a blast at the beach...ha! She is such a little stinker :)
The beach we were at was Nehalem Bay State Park which is on a strip of land between the ocean and the Nehalem Bay. When you're standing up on the sand dunes you can see both the bay and the ocean!
