Mani Monday // Radiant Orchid

Hello, hello...It's time for another installment of Mani Monday!
(Mainly because we just got home last night from a weekend away in Bend and although it was a blast, I'm exhausted! I'll have some pics to share later this week though!)

Today, I wanted to highlight some fun polishes that fit with Pantone's color of the year for 2014 -
Radiant Orchid!

I think it's such a beautiful color that's also really wearable and so perfect for spring. The Pantone website actually has a press release with specific info about how the color translates into different things like fashion, home, and beauty. Here's what they had to say about beauty:

"A modern and surprisingly versatile shade, Radiant Orchid enlivens the skin, making all who wear it feel more healthy and energetic. Blending both cool and warm undertones, purple is an appealing hue for distinctive combinations and flattering to many hair, eye and skin tones.
This multifaceted hue is seductive when combined with red and pairs well with its sister shades of lavender, purple and pink, which provides an assortment of lipstick and blush options. Radiant Orchid’s exuberance also acts as a brilliant finishing touch to nails."

The color is described as a purple with fuschia and pink undertones, so I think there are a lot of different ways that you can wear it when it comes to your nails. There are some polishes out there that appear to match more closely to the official color swatch, while there are also lots of other lavender and magenta shades that I think can still work with the trend. It seems like you can also take some liberties with whether you choose a more pastel version of the color or a vibrant shade that really stands out. Here are a few great options for incorporating Radiant Orchid in your next mani...
