A Walk in the Woods

 Happy weekend everyone!

I meant to post this on Friday but never got around to it, so I thought I'd pop in today instead to say hello and share some photos from last weekend.

Last Friday, Cam and I went for a little hike on a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail right by our house. The aspens were at their peak color and we wanted to enjoy the fall beauty before the snowstorm that was in the forecast for this week. It was really relaxing to take a walk in the woods and see the gorgeous leaves. I'm so glad we went because we ended up getting blanketed in snow Monday-Wednesday. Luckily the weather is warming back up a little bit and the snow is all melted off the roads, but many of the leaves are gone now.

Thankfully, I have these photos to remember that golden afternoon.

I feel blessed we get to live in such a beautiful place!

As for this weekend, it's been pretty relaxing which is just what I needed. I was able to try out some new recipes and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you later this week. Today we've got a trip to Target on the agenda and I'm a little overly excited about it. (Getting to Target is more of a treat these days now that we live in Tahoe and the closest one is 45 minutes away!) Hope you're having a wonderful weekend as well! Xoxo
