Steamboat Springs

During my in-laws' visit last weekend, we ventured up to check out Steamboat Springs, which is about 4 hours from where we live. It's a really pretty city (although I still think I like Breckenridge the best so far), and I'm glad we were able to experience the summertime there because it is really pretty. I'm not in much of a writing mood today (shocking I know), so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves...

Riverside lunch at a yummy little place called Sweetwater Grill; I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to dine al fresco!
Dogs weren't allowed on the patio, so someone had to wait patiently to finish our lunch...
View of the Yampa River and the alpine slides
Downtown Steamboat
The guys and Lola
Cute downtown
Cam and I after tubing down the Yampa River which was SO much fun! :)
Cam and his dad wanted me to get a picture of them going over this one little rapid close to shore...
Good times :)
Pretty river (and that building right next to the river is their public library...talk about an awesome place for it!)
Gross looking Black Sulfur Spring
Steamboat Spring
So peaceful.
We had breakfast at a delicious little cafe called Chocolate Soup...this picture makes me laugh because it looks like Cam is just eating breakfast with some random blonde chick...ha.
Seriously everything we got here was sooo good.
Lola is a little social butterfly and will go up to any dog she meets on the street...even if it's a giant Rottweiler...
Punching her new friend in the face...good job Lolz.
Please note her absurdly large tongue in this one...hilarious
Doing a little more shopping on Sunday
Lola loved Steamboat...at least that's what I think she was trying to tell us on our drive home...if this picture doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will!
So I know today's post was pretty picture-heavy, but never fear, I've got lots of wordy, rambling posts in the days to come including a book review, my current fitness/yoga thoughts, and an exciting guest post, so stay tuned! Hope you're having a happy hump day friends! xoxo

  1. Next time you're in Steamboat, check out Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Fun and relaxing in the day time, clothing optional after dark ;-)
