T-1 Week...

This is about how I feel this morning...
Happy Friday y'all! Since we didn't get back from vacation until Tuesday night, my whole week has basically been thrown off, so it really doesn't feel like Friday to me today at all. I'm not going to lie, I'm starting to get a little stressed out. Yesterday it really started to hit me just how soon we're moving...and how much stuff we have left to do before next weekend. (Hence the picture of Lola--she was a little stressed out/exhausted after I picked her up from Camp Bow Wow on Wednesday so I thought it was fitting!)

Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited to go out to Colorado, see our new apartment, and explore the West. I just feel like there are a lot of little odds and ends to wrap up before we turn in the keys to our current apartment and say goodbye to the South. I'm definitely starting to feel sad about leaving, and in a way, I wish that we had a little more time here because there are a few places that we didn't get to visit, some hikes and camping trips that we never got to do, and a few places (Charleston!) that I would have loved to go back to one more time. Also, my last day of work is next Thursday, and I'm already dreading saying goodbye to all the wonderful people I've met there.

However, I'm trying to focus on the positive and look forward instead of looking back. We've done a ton of exploring in the past year, and I feel really fortunate to have visited all the places in the Southeast that we have been able to go. I'm so thankful for the friendships I've formed in the past year, and plan on doing my very best to keep in touch with everyone. And I know that the ever growing to-do list that needs to get completed between now and next week will get done...or at least that's what I have to keep telling myself to keep from going totally nuts! (That and the fact that I love making lists and crossing things off!)

Yesterday was actually fairly productive; I finally went in for my eye dr. appt (something I had been putting off for way too long!), I ordered new contacts, Cam and I cleaned out the refridgerator/freezer, I cleaned out the cupboards in our bathroom and got rid of a bunch of old beauty products I never use, and we ordered our new camera! (It's supposed to come in before we leave, and I'm so excited to have it for our road trip out West/adventures in Colorado!) This weekend, I've got about 1800 loads of laundry and a lot more sorting through things to do before the movers come to pack up all our stuff on Monday. (eeeek!) We also have some Living Social/Groupon restaurant gift certificates that we need to use up as well, so hopefully we'll have a good mix of work and play for our last weekend in Greenville! :)

What's everyone up to this weekend?

  1. Moving is always so bittersweet, isn't it? I'm sure you will LOVE Colorado. I don't think I've ever met a soul who didn't like it. And oddly enough, I've heard that the "happiest" people in the United States live in Colorado. So there's that too :)

Hope you have a wonderful day, Love. Best of luck to you and your little fam!
