Happy Father's Day!

Happy Sunday everyone and Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever! I am so thankful to for both of my wonderful parents, and I really appreciate all the lessons that my dad has instilled in me that I will be able to pass on my kids one day. My dad knows how to do many things well, but he still loves to learn, and curiosity is something that he passed along to my sister and I. He's inspired my love of travel, as well as my love of cooking good food for the people you love. He works hard, but he always makes time for his family and friends, and also makes time to pursue his personal passions as well, which I think is really important. He is extremely supportive and am so blessed to have him as a Dad!
I love this picture from the father/daughter dance at my wedding :)

Unfortunately, I can't be with my dad today to celebrate since he's in Michigan, and I'm in South Carolina. However, the good news is that I'll get to see him (and the rest of my family) when we visit Michigan next weekend! Cam and I decided last minute that we're going to take a little detour on our drive to Colorado and stop in Michigan for a few days to spend time with my family before heading west. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone, and it's pretty crazy how much of the country we'll have driven through by the time we get to Colorado!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone! xoxo

  3. So don't take this the wrong way but we kind of need to be best friends. Even though I live in Charleston I grew up in Brighton, MI and graduated from Eastern. Kooky!
